Saving Tower 17

MOVING DAY

Part 2

May 3, 2004

Tower 17 has left its trackside location and is on the way to the Rosenberg Railroad Museum.  The route from the tracks was South on Brazos Street, then East on Avenue H (Highway 90A), and finally North on 2nd Street to the museum property.  The route length was about 1 mile and the transit time was 11 minutes.

After an uneventful trip, Tower 17 was set upon its new foundation.  The work of reassembly and restoration commenced almost immediately.
